What I Make
“Vacuum Sealed: The Price of Fame”
In this series, I explore the commodification of music artists. how they are packaged, sold, consumed, and ultimately discarded by an industry that thrives on their image while silencing their voice. These are Artifacts of cultural icons who, despite their brilliance, were bound by contracts that stripped them of autonomy. Icons who, in trying to reclaim their freedom, were met with media slander, psychological torment, and, in too many cases, suspicious or untimely deaths.

Aaliyah - Marketed young, controlled tightly, and pushed into stardom before adulthood. Her tragic plane crash sparked whispers of foul play, with some believing her death was too convenient for industry powers. A promising rebel spirit lost just as she was claiming creative control.

Prince - Changed his name to a symbol to escape label ownership. Fought for artists’ rights, owned his masters, and preached independence. After warning about the industry’s grip, he died under mysterious circumstances. Many believe he was silenced for knowing—and saying—too much.

Kanye West - Once an industry darling, now framed as unstable. Outbursts turned headlines, but are they cries for freedom? His battles with labels, erratic media portrayal, and hints at elite exploitation cast him as a modern-day heretic—too outspoken, too aware, too defiant.

Whitney Houston - A voice like no other, yet constantly torn between image and authenticity. Alleged substance abuse became the focus, overshadowing deeper issues. Industry pressure, rumors of hidden relationships, and her mysterious death in a hotel bathtub still leave more questions than answers.

Justin Bieber - Pushed into fame as a child, Bieber became a money-making machine. Behind the polished image, whispers of abuse by powerful figures and exploitative management persist. His marriage raises eyebrows and the paparazzi are still constantly harassing him. Hints of trauma and breakdowns suggest a story of silenced pain beneath the chart-toppers.

Tupac Shakur - Revolutionary poet turned target. His lyrics called out systemic oppression and industry puppeteers. Years later, someone confessed to his murder—a hit allegedly orchestrated by someone within his circle. The industry, it seems, didn’t just profit from his voice—it silenced it when it got too loud, too real, too close to the truth.

Britney Spears - America’s pop princess, enslaved by a conservatorship. Her cries were dismissed as instability. Only after fans rallied did we glimpse the horror. Decades of control, surveillance, and forced performances paint a chilling picture of human trafficking disguised as entertainment.

Michael Jackson - Child star turned global icon, later branded monstrous. His catalog was worth billions, and after he reclaimed it, scandals erupted. His death followed years of legal warfare and media vilification. Some suggest he knew industry secrets and paid the price for speaking out.
My Symbol
Symbols transcend language. They speak across time, cultures, and consciousness. Long before alphabets, ancient civilizations used symbols like hieroglyphs to encode knowledge, emotion, and meaning. Unlike words, symbols bypass logic and speak directly to the intuitive mind.
Inspired by Prince, who created a symbol when a name no longer served him, I felt called to do the same. This emblem speaks for what words alone cant express.
The sphere at the top represents the third eye, a reminder to see with clarity beyond illusion. The Mercury glyph speaks to my drive to communicate deep truths and transform through knowledge. The Moon reflects my connection to the inner world: cycles, intuition, and the sacred feminine. Intertwined within the design is a knot and the Flower of Life, symbolizing the web of consciousness that connects all things.
Crafted in chrome, it mirrors both light and shadow. It’s a fusion of the spiritual and the technological, the ancient and the futuristic.
